Everything is in GBP and excludes VAT. Fixed project prices on request; retainers come in 15% lower. ### Hourly rates, ex VAT These are starting rates. Complexity or urgency can push them up — and if they do, you’ll hear about it before the work starts, not on the invoice. UI/UX design from **£60** /hour Research, wireframes, prototypes, finished UI and design systems — revised as often as needed within the agreed scope. Development Most booked from **£70** /hour Full-stack builds, e-commerce, headless CMS, APIs and integrations, with code review and documentation included in the rate. Marketing from **£90** /hour Brand strategy, SEO audits, content plans, analytics set-up and marketing automation. Invoiced in pounds by JH webstudio Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 08104308), plus VAT at the standard rate where applicable. JH webstudio Ltd is VAT-registered (GB244125925), so you get a proper VAT invoice, with VAT at the standard rate (currently 20%) where it applies. #### Where do you stand on IR35? We contract as a limited company on outcome-based B2B engagements: a defined scope, or a block of capacity against agreed work. That typically sits outside IR35, but your own status determination is what applies, and we can’t give a legal guarantee. If you’re booking embedded days rather than a project, it’s worth running that past your adviser too. #### How and when do we pay? In pounds, by bank transfer — no currency conversion, no international payments. Projects are billed 50% up front and 50% on delivery, or by milestone on longer builds; retainers monthly in advance; 14-day terms unless we agree otherwise. #### Which law applies? Our contracts are governed by the law of England and Wales. Each project’s engagement letter sets out the detail, so your solicitor has something concrete to read. ### Three ways to book us Most agencies start with a single project and move to a retainer once they trust the bench.
